McConkey Ferry Inn at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Legend holds that before crossing George Washington dined at the tavern owned by Samuel McConkey.
Museum founders George D. and Henry K. Landis in the garden behind the tavern, built of native blue limestone in 1940 as an exhibit area, office, and library for their large book collection.
The four-square garden at the Log Farm of Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum is typical of traditional boxed gardens laid out by Pennsylvania Germans.
