Rider Jack Brady, mounted on "Silver Dollar," rode up a Capitol elevator and into the office of a smiling Governor George H. Earle on December 29, 1937. The promotion was designed to gain publicity for a Texas Rangers free rodeo performance for city orphans in the Small Arena the next day.
